This guide walks you through the initial setup of SimpleWMS, from logging in to creating your first warehouse structure.
Before you begin, ensure you have:
Navigate to your SimpleWMS instance and log in with your credentials. If you're an administrator setting up a new installation, use the default admin credentials provided during deployment.
After logging in, you'll land on the Dashboard. This provides an at-a-glance view of:
SimpleWMS uses a hierarchical structure to organize storage locations:
Warehouse
└── Area
└── Shelf
└── Bin
Areas represent logical zones within a warehouse (e.g., "Receiving", "Storage", "Shipping").
Shelves and bins provide the granular locations where products are stored.
Once your warehouse structure is set up:
SimpleWMS supports two user roles:

| Admin | Full access to all features, user management, settings, and audit logs |
| User | Access to warehouse operations, orders, and inventory management |
Administrators can manage users in Settings > Users.
