Material Picking

Collect raw materials for production using pre-allocation or sequential methods.

Material Picking

SimpleMOM provides flexible methods for collecting raw materials needed for production jobs.

Picking Methods

SimpleMOM supports two picking approaches:

Pre-allocation

Select specific lots and quantities before picking:

  1. View all available material lots
  2. Choose which lots to use
  3. Specify quantities from each lot
  4. Confirm allocation
  5. Physically collect materials

Best for:

  • FIFO/FEFO requirements
  • Specific lot selection
  • Planning ahead of physical picking

Sequential Picking

Scan or enter materials one by one:

  1. Start the picking session
  2. Scan material barcode (or enter manually)
  3. Enter quantity picked
  4. Repeat for each material
  5. Complete when all materials collected

Best for:

  • Mobile warehouse operations
  • Barcode-driven workflows
  • Flexible picking sequences
