Getting Started

This guide walks you through the initial setup of SimpleMOM and creating your first production job.

Prerequisites

Before you begin, ensure you have:

  • Access credentials provided by your administrator
  • Products set up in SimplePIM
  • Raw materials available in inventory
  • Warehouse locations configured in SimpleWMS

First Steps

1. Access Production Jobs

Navigate to Production Jobs from the sidebar. This opens the job management view where you can:

  • View all production jobs and their status
  • Create new production jobs
  • Track material picking progress
  • Complete manufacturing operations

2. Understanding Job States

Production jobs progress through these states:

PendingJob created, awaiting material picking
Materials PickedAll materials collected, ready for manufacturing
CompletedManufacturing finished, inventory created

3. Job List View

The production jobs list displays:

Creating a Production Job

Step-by-Step

  1. Click Add Job
  2. Enter job details:
    • Work Number: Unique identifier for this job
    • Product: Select the product to manufacture
    • Quantity: How many units to produce
    • Delivery Date: Target completion date
  3. Add raw materials:
    • Select materials needed for production
    • Specify quantities per material
  4. Save the job

Material Requirements

For each raw material, specify:

  • Product: The material item
  • Quantity: Amount needed per finished unit
  • Total Required: Automatically calculated

Production Workflow

The typical production flow:

Create Job → Pick Materials → Manufacture → Complete
  1. Create Job: Define what to make and materials needed
  2. Pick Materials: Collect raw materials from inventory
  3. Manufacture: Transform materials into finished goods
  4. Complete: Record lot information and create inventory
