SimplePIM provides real-time visibility into inventory levels across all warehouse locations, integrated seamlessly with SimpleWMS data.

Stock Overview

When viewing a product, you can see comprehensive stock information:

Stock Quantities

Pending SalesUnits on sales orders awaiting picking
Pending PurchasesUnits on purchase orders awaiting receipt

Available Calculation

Available stock is calculated as:

Available = Total - Reserved - Pending Sales

This ensures you know exactly how much stock can be promised to new orders.

Stock by Location

View inventory distribution across your warehouse structure:

Location Breakdown

The stock by location view shows:

  • Warehouse: Top-level location
  • Area: Zone within warehouse
  • Shelf: Shelving unit
  • Bin: Specific storage location
  • Quantity: Units in that location
  • Lot Number: For lot-tracked items

Finding Stock

To locate specific products:

  1. Open the product details
  2. Scroll to Stock by Location
  3. View all locations holding this product
  4. See quantities and lot information per location

Lot Tracking

For products with lot tracking enabled:

Lot Information

Each lot entry displays:

  • Lot Number: Unique lot identifier
  • Quantity: Units in this lot
  • Location: Where the lot is stored
  • Expiration Date: For perishable goods
  • Manufacturing Date: Production date

Lot Traceability

Lots created through production (SimpleMOM) maintain full traceability:

  • Source materials used
  • Production date and batch
  • Quality information

Integration with SimpleWMS

Stock data in SimplePIM comes from SimpleWMS:

Real-time Updates

Stock levels update automatically when:

  • Purchase orders are received
  • Sales orders are picked
  • Transfers move inventory
  • Production consumes or creates stock

Warehouse Structure

The location hierarchy matches SimpleWMS:

Warehouse → Area → Shelf → Bin

Stock Alerts

Monitor inventory levels:

Low Stock

Products below minimum thresholds can be identified through:

  • Filtering by quantity
  • Custom reports
  • Automation workflows

Out of Stock

Zero-quantity products indicate:

  • Items needing reorder
  • Discontinued products
  • Data synchronization issues

Printing Stock Labels

Generate labels showing current stock information:

  1. Select a product
  2. Click Print Label
  3. Choose a template with stock fields
  4. Print labels with current quantities

Labels can include:

  • Product code and name
  • Current quantity
  • Bin location
  • Lot number
  • Barcode

Regular Reviews
